Today I was sitting on MSN talking to my friend, TK (the biggest brainbox in England), & we were bored so I was giving him random questions like ''not using a calculator what is 111,111,111 x 111,111,111?'' which just so ya know = 12,345,678,987,654,321.

& It had a list of strange laws & I really cant believe some of the stupid laws the world has!

We Have A Christmas Tree!

& 5 days til christmas i thought we would never get 1.
Every one had been ill with the flue (& i'm still ill) so we haven't had the chance to go & buy one yet BUT to day my dad went out & got a Christmas tree **woop**

how come we see them as being white & NOT black?

Dickensian/winter Festival

Well It has just been the Dickensian/Winter (wht ever u wanna call it) festival & It was grrrreat! My band (F.B.R) did lodes of gigs over the weekend!

We were dead worried on our first show coz it started at 11:30 & at 11:35ish there was only 3 of us there & the rest of the band was late coz of bad trafic & we didnt have a lot o people any way coz some people were ill. luckily the act before us was running late so the rest of f.b.r's band members (who wernt ill) had time to get here!
& when they did we did a 'well good' show....'well good' being the horrid joke of the day, & all thanx to Dylan (band member & [for that show] MC-er) who said ''and now we're gonna play a tune called...well we dont know what its called BUT its well good'' & then evey time some one talked in to the microphone from then on they made some corny joke about summut being ''well good'' by the end we all wanted to kill Dylan
& you'll be glad to know that we are planning on banning Dylan from MCing ever EVER again!

On the Saturday I did a bit of clog-dancing around town with my group of cloggers who are all at least 30 years older than me...they're really very good dancers...but if any young people wanna join/re-join feel free (oh you oldys can still come as long as i get some YOUNG PEOPLE! make me happy bring ur children with you!)

Well I better go practise some new music for my next show
which btw is in 3 days!!! I love Christmas lots o shows & free Christmas puds :-D

Water Aid National Ceilidh

Well since I've been busy lately & haven't been posting a lot I thought (seeing as i've got nothing else to post about) I might as well fill you in with some of the things I've been up 2...
Well for 1 on the 18th of October 2008 (yeah i know! long long time ago) It was the Big National Ceilidh In aid of water aid! People all around the world were having 1 big part- **ahem** I mean ceilidh... they were doing ceilidh's in Oxforshire, Bath (you know...the place), London, Leeds, Alston, Barnet, Barrow-in-furness, Alston (oh yeah i already said that 1), & in collages & universitys every where.
but it wasn't just happening in England people were doing water aid ceilidh's on the same day in Africa, Canada, Greenland some people were even having a ceilidh on a train in the midle of nowhere....ok maybe that was falls info of Dylan but still u get the idea right(?)

So any way no one was doing a water aid ceilidh in our aria so f.b.r (if you haven't got it yet f.b.r is my band) decided to do one here! It was great we got a huge place & lots o prizes for people to win! addmitedly we did get other people to do alot of the dancing music but we did a bit 2 & we did some great listening music :-)
at I think it was 10pm every 1 in the world doing a ceilidh for water aid did the same dance at the same time & every one in the room had to do. it It was great (we played for that 1) admittedly we were a bit late running coz Taylor decided to do the raffle. but still...

In the end we made £400 pounds which is enough to make about 6 wells of never ending water (well till all the water in the world is gone) in 6 different villages! which saved over 700 people from dyeing from lack of water! & it'll save their children & their children & their children & their children ,,, ,,,, ,,,,,,, ... .... ........

....well I feel special....

Pay day!

I took Kara (next doors dog) down to the beach today It was really fun but she got all mucky & muddy so when we got back to her house I had to give her a shower! When I was half way through washing her down she jumped out of the shower & splashed water all over the bathroom! she went running around the room shaking the water of her & all over me & the walls (I am sooooooo glad a shut the bathroom door).

After a lot of struggling I got her back in to the shower ( by the way she's a really big dog so getting her back in the shower was harder then it sounds!) washed her & dried her of with the hair-dryer.

Then I got the best news all week
I got told that 2day was...... PAY DAY!
I finally got my money for the weeks work! & I'm gonna do all this again next week!

Any way it is now 11:41pm & I'm falling a sleep on my chair
so night night

Ceilidh band

A group people & me have started up a ceilidh band!
Its going really good at the moment & we're getting lodes of gigs! which means we're all so getting lodes of money!

There's 11 of us at the mo & its going really well!
We played for at the Mexicans leaving party & they all really liked it..... I think.... it was kinda hard to explain how to do like dance moves to them coz are dance caller doesn't know any Spanish!

But it went ok & we got lots of free Mexican food!

Grizedale Forest

We took Eduardo to Grizedale Forest Last Sunday (the 13th)
We went on the music walk & took about 3 million & 1 photos Then we had a barbecue (yummy).

When we were waiting for grub we went & played frizbie & thats it really......
Oh yer I got stung by a wasp my hand turned in to the size of a foot ball & dropped right of...
& if you are wondering yes I am writing to you with 1 hand!!

last year Awkin & some other people went to Mexico with school on a exchange thingy & stayed with some people there & coz its a exchange thing this year people from Mexico have come here to stay with us! (Every 1 who went to mexico last year has 1 or 2 mexicans staying with them)

Our Mexican is called Eduardo (it could be Edwardo though.... I'm not quite shore how to spell it)
He's 14 kind of evil & mad about his hair!!! Me & my Mum tease him coz he keeps a little hair brush with him all the time = )
He's really nice though!

Well I'm really in to Elliot Minor at the mo.
I really want to see them live but I haven't yet coz they never come near my aria & I just found out that they're gonna be playing at the canteen in barrow-in-furness which is close enough for me to go to with out crossing oceans!
I got all exited thinking I could maybe go see them at there gig but I just got told that I cant see them coz I'm under the age limit! You have to be something like 15+ & I'm only 12 {:'o(

Yet Another Instrument!

As ya know I play the mettle flute, wooden flute, piano, penny whistle, accordion & Ocarina but I've decided to ad another instrument to my list (I think I must be going mad) & I'm now learning the Melodeon!
My friend Belle is going to be teach me bits if she ever gets time of work. & yer this is the Belly who says she'll strap me to the out side wall with gaffer-tape! she's evil she is!
I think Playing all of these Instruments must drive my neighbour's nuts!

They're really good! they mix folk music with like Rock/Pirate music (it's really kwl).

Hi every body!
Soz I haven't posted since July
But any way now we have lots of time to catch up.
Well its been both of my brothers birthday lately, James is 17 now he has started a music college (he plays the accordion) & Tom is 14. It's going to be my birthday soon. its on the 28th of November I'm gonna be 12 (YEY!).

I've started playing the piano & I'm gonna be doing my grade 3 on flute! I really hope i pass, i have to do 9 scales & 3 pieces of music (I'm playing No-Dice, number 27 & Habanera) + the oh oh so dreaded singing. :oS

As I told you in my last post, it was the folk festival at the weekend & me and my mate danced here there and every were!

At my folk club I won free tickets for every thing! shows & workshops and any thing else that was happening.

I think the best band at the howl folk festival was Last Orders!!! who are a group of teens who just won the BBC Radio2 Young Folk Awards 2 of them on fiddle: David Jones & Kevin Lees 1 on guitar: Matthew Jones + every so often they get Maz O'Connor to do vocals for them and the best out of all of them Joe O'Connor on melodeon (who used to come to my folk group) click here to go to there web site.

Me & my middle brother got their new CD, which is last orders BY Last Orders (well they ain't very imaginative are they).

But I've got to say the best bit was when me (on penny whistle, flute and a bit of clogging) my mate (on flute) and my brother (on fiddle) went busking and got £$$$:$$s we were so happy when some people gave us a £10 pound note that we stopped playing to thank them!

I'm back!

Hi peaps!
I know I haven't written in ages (forgot my password, oops) so i'm gonna make it all up to you lot with this mega long post, all about the things i've been doing in this year long gap!!!

Well for starters I now go to an orchestra where I play the flute, I thought I would have to play lots of boring classical stuff but on the last show we did we played the Entertainer (which is really funky when we have the whole orchestra playing with the drums) and on the show before that we played the Yellow Submarine, Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds & my favorite Ob-La-Di,Ob-La-Da.

I've also taken up the piano, I'm speeding through the books and can play ruby (by the kaiser chiefs) of by heart!

I've also started another clogging group on Tuesdays.

I'm doing a clogging show with my mate (Lozzy) on Saturday in the local folk festival weekend! we'll be the two hyper kids with a very serious folk group ;o)

I'm still home schooled & as always loving it.

Any way don't know if that was as long as you were hoping but I got to go now.

I forgot to tell you all I am now 11 (yey) I turnd 11 on the 28 of November I got a ''groovit'' which my friend Est gave me it is realy cool its got mini light sensors in it and the voice tells you to do some thing like "scratch it"
and you have to move your hand in a certain direction over the sensors and you get a point. The only problem whith light sensors is, it means if some one walks past you, you lose a life be cause it senses the light !

but i think the best thing about it is that it drives my family around the bend he he!

ages ago my brother ( Tom ) and I went to a workshop with emma and the professor ( the professors name is really mark ) we went to do a singing workshop but we were the only ones there so we did some bodhran playing with Mark and some singing with Emma it was really good !

It's my brother's (TOM'S )birthday today yeeeeeeeey. He's 13 and and he's getting tall I have to bend my neak back when I talk to him, but anyway. My mum and dad got him a new SHINY bike, my other brother got him a little electronic game, and i got him the new Edge Chronicals book. Later sooz and her family are coming, and thay all ways bring him something nice.
...well got to go and finish the icing on the cake.

Yesterday my freand Sooz came down we didn't do much. We played a snail game (you play it by drawing a spiral with lines going through it and put crosses in a few places, you get a stone and throw it on to one of the squares and hopscotch to the square the stone landed on, and write your initials on it. Then if someone else lands on it thay have to go back 2 squares. If you land on a cross you will have to go back to not to where your last initials were. The first one to the middel wins.) then we played on donky konga - then she went home. While i wached the X facter I had my dad's delicious home made hot & spicey curry Mmm .

Yesterday, me and my brothers invited our friend Belle from our folkclub around. on the way she got lost be cos my brother gave her such rubbish instrucshons on how to get to the hose. She keeps threatening to hang me by me by my toes from the ceiling or gaffa tape me to the wall ( in a silly way of course ). I ceap on trying to squish her by sitting on her, but she's used to it cos she's got a little sister and two big brothers and thay always sit on her. And, she has the advantage of being bigger than me and being able to pick me up and throw me on to the settee. We plade some folk music like OUT ON THE OCEAN, SALMON TAILS & JAMEY ALLAN, BAIDIN FHEILIM and the EGAN'S POLKA SET. She stayed for tea ( we had pizza ) and then she went home.

The Thunder Storm

Guess what happend last night.... we had a big thunder storm it was really cool there was bolts of lightning everywhere. We reckon it was about a kilometre away but looked and felt like it was really close. At one point there was lots of big flashes with lightning bolts coming from it and, do you know what, because my mum wasn't feeling very well she went to bed early and she slept right through it all! What I want to know is how could she sleep though all that banging! Well after we have a thunder storm my grandma usually has one too so we rang her up to see if she was all right and she said '' a thunder storm, what thunder storm, its not even raining here!''
my dad was shocked that my Grandma didn't have a thunder storm too!

one of my fravourite websites is Neopets, on neopets you can make up to 4 pets and then you can feed them, groom them, give them make up, and play games to make money so you can go !SHOPPING! so you can buy Toys , Food , you can even buy pets for your pets, and then you can even buy your pets pet a pet !

I have two pets one is called toe_tow:
Toe_tow is a red frog (or usually known as a nimmo) and very clever, his strength is titanic and he moves like a cheeter .

The other one is called cub_boots;
cub_boots is a blue kouroa and is very cute! his defence is heavy, and he is very fast!

my metal flute lesson!

I had started playing the metal flute a while back now, and today ( tuesday) I went to a metal flute lesson.
I learnt to tut and to do 'b flat' and had a little test on my music signs and stuff like that.
Then at 6:00pm I went to a my club (woodcraft ). we played games and painted rocks. Then I went to clog dancing which was really fun because we were learning a new dance and some new music!

The Spiderwick Chronicles is a bit like the series of unfortuate events, but thay still have a mum and dad & there's one girl and two boys who moved to a house that was haunted by the horrible household boggart.........

One of the many terrible things the houshold boggart did was tie all of the girls long hair to the brass headboard of her bed, and one of the boys got blamed for it because the day before he had argued with his sister.
